"Call to me and I will answer you, and tell you great and unsearchable things you do not know. " Jeremiah 33:3

"So here's what I want you to do, God helping you; Take your everyday, ordinary life, your sleeping, eating, going to work, and walking around life and place it before God as an offering." Romans 12:1 MSG

Do you every consider your ordinary life to be a daily offering to God? How can that be, why is God interested in the mundane of our lives? He is interested in every aspect of our lives and He always will be because we belong to Him, He made us, He chose us, He calls us by name, and we were purchased at an extremely high price, Jesus Christ laid down His life for us so that we might have eternal life with Him.

It is easy to forget or even comprehend that a believer's body is not their own, we are bond slaves to Christ and He dwells within us through His Holy Spirit, making our bodies a sacred place because of His eternal presence! John 14:16-17; "I will ask the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may be with you forever; that is the Spirit of truth..."

Most people if they went to church this coming Sunday would be shocked and offended if they arrived and someone has sprayed graffiti all over the outside of the building. In the same way if we put tattoos all over our bodies, if we pierced with holes our skin, or cartilage, if we cut ourselves, or starved ourselves or lived in gluttony do you think God is offended? When Christ made the whip and overturned the money changers tables in the temple of Jerusalem, it was fulfilling the Scripture written of Christ that zeal for His Father's house will consume Him!

"The physical part of you is not some piece of property belonging to the spiritual part of you. God owns the whole works. So let people see God in and through your body."
1 Corinthians 6:19b-20 MSG.

The most dangerous thing that we can do with our bodies that are the temple of the Holy Spirit is to use it to commit sexual sin! 1 Corinthians 6:18 MSG says; "There is a sense in which sexual sins are different from all others. In sexual sin we violate the sacredness of our own bodies, these bodies that were made for God-given and God-modeled love, for "becoming one" with another."

1 Corinthians 6:17 NASB says; "But the one who joins himself to the Lord is one spirit with Him."

"There's more to sex than mere skin on skin. Sex is as much spiritual mystery as physical fact. As written in Scripture, "The two become one." Spiritually we are one with Christ, stay faithful, stay true, the bond is a mystery and our God is a jealous God. As Scripture says in 1 John 5:21 NASB, "Little children keep yourselves from idols."

We are to love the Lord our God with undivided hearts full of love for Him, glorifying Him with our heart, mind, words, deeds and bodies!
